Christian Scholz

My Name is Christian Scholz, the one and only “Netzwerkonkel” (networking uncle) and I’m interested in pretty much everything regarding IT-Networking, and IoT. I’m specialized in Network-Security and Switching and since July 2018 I am also one of (not so many) Junipers JNCIE-SEC’s in Europe. In 2024 I secured myself my second E-Level Title, the JNCIE-ENT which brings me one step closer towards my “all-E”-Goal 🙂 This is an incredible journey so far and I enjoy every minute 🙂
In my free time, I’m working with everything SmartHome / IoT and run Germany’s (probably) most advanced SmartHouse with close to 700 Sensors 🙂 Currently, I’m also developing my very own sensor-series that will be hopefully released in Q2 2027. Also, I am addicted to Raspberry Pi’s, IPv6, and EVE-NG, probably the best virtual lab solution currently out there. Since 2025 I post all my Stuff from my Blog also on almost all big social networks with the Handle of “Netzwerkonkel” as I became an uncle some years ago and this handle seems so extremely fitting 😉

I write about topics that interest me either extremely or have tortured me extremely…
